Anatoly Kurlat grew up in Moscow, started writing songs at about 16, influenced by Russian rock of the 8s. He immigrated to America in 1993, where he has participated in many Russian festivals and musical events, went back to Russia several times to play at different festivals there.

He plays folk music and a variety of instruments including banjo, jaw harp, and percussions. Since 1999 he has lived in the beautiful Catskill mountains, where his land became his ongoing land-art project and a place where musicians and artists from all over the world come and play and find creative connections and inspiration.

See him on Saturday at Spell-Art for singer-songwriter, folk and rock inspired goodness!
